Fear of Balkan Muslims unites Oslo bomber, paranoid pseudo-left

Media reports have noted that accused Oslo bomber Anders Behring Breivik indicated through his online spewings that he is a fan of professional Islamophobe Pam Geller, who led the protests against New York’s “Ground Zero Mosque” last Sept. 11. At the time, we noted the irony that the same pseudo-left hucksters (especially Workers World Party and its satellites) that organized the counter-protest against Geller’s thugs ironically shared in demonization of the Muslims of Bosnia and Kosova with such right-wing mosque-opponents as Terry Jones and Glenn Beck. Now, as paranoid pseudo-left hucksters line up to charge (on no evidence) that Breivik is a Mossad agent, it emerges that he was actually motivated by… rage at NATO’s bombardment of the Serbs! This from AP, July 25:

Anders Behring Breivik said he was a boy when his life’s path began to turn. It was during the first Gulf War, when a Muslim friend cheered at reports of missile attacks against American forces.

“I was completely ignorant at the time and apolitical but his total lack of respect for my culture (and Western culture in general) actually sparked my interest and passion for it,” the suspect in Norway’s bombing and mass shooting wrote in his 1,500-page manifesto.

The 32-year-old Norwegian said it was the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999 that “tipped the scales” for him because he sympathized with Serbia’s crackdown on ethnic Albanian Muslims in Kosovo. A year later he said he realized that what he called the “Islamization of Europe” couldn’t be stopped by peaceful means.

As this YouTube interview with Alex Jones TV indicates, Wayne Madsen—the conspiranoid who is leading the charge on the Mossad-Oslo thesis—likewise demonizes the “Bosnian Muslim forces” as “working quite closely with bin Laden” (again on no evidence, except some conveniently anonymous “sources”). The only difference is that for Breivik, the Israelis are heroic defenders against the Muslim menace, whereas for Madsen they are insidious sponsors of the Muslim menace in relentless “false flag” operations. It would be amusing if it weren’t so sinister, and if so many “leftists” didn’t fall for this jive—seemingly oblivious to how they are legitimizing fascistic propaganda.

Speaking of fascism, this from a July 24 JTA analysis of Breivik’s self-penned manifesto:

In numerous online postings, including a manifesto published on the day of the attacks, Breivik promoted the Vienna School or Crusader Nationalism philosophy, a mishmash of anti-modern principles that also calls for “the deportation of all Muslims from Europe” as well as from “the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.”

According to the manifesto, titled “2083: A European Declaration of Independence” and published under the pseudonym Andrew Berwick, the Vienna School supports “pro-Zionism/Israeli nationalism.”

Breivik listed numerous European Freedom Parties and neo-Nazi parties as potential allies because of their anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim stance, and mentioned that right-wing populists like Dutch politician Geert Wilders “have to condemn us at this point which is fine. It is after all essential that they protect their reputational shields.”

Now, this is very cute. We noted earlier that Breivik had invoked Geert Wilders, and that Wilders had issued a requisite disavowal. Breivik’s own manifesto apparently anticipated that very disavowal—and, convincingly, its bogus nature! More from the JTA report:

Among the potential allies he listed for Germany were the three largest neo-Nazi parties—the National Democratic Party, Deutsche Volksunion and Republikaner. In Holland, Wilders’ Freedom Party topped the list, and the British National Party topped a long list of potential supporters in the United Kingdom.

European right-populist parties increasingly have been waving the flag of friendship with Israel, as well as expressing vehement opposition to Europe’s multicultural society.

Last month, after it emerged that German-Swedish far-right politician Patrik Brinkmann had met in Berlin with Israeli Likud Party lawmaker Ayoub Kara, who is deputy minister for development of the Negev and Galilee, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman wrote to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanding that Kara be prevented from making further trips abroad. According to Ynet, Lieberman accused Kara of meeting with neo-Nazis and causing damage to Israel’s image. Brinkman said he had reached out to Israeli rightists hoping to build a coalition against Islam.

So it seems that the Zionist-fascist alliance that Breivik advocates is actually pretty well-advanced. If only followers of the idiot left like Madsen and Workers World could see how they are playing into its hands…

  1. Anders Behring Breivik, “Man of the Year”
The Maine Tea Party apparently put up a page entitled “Man of the Year 2011: Anders Behring Breivik,” but must have thought better and removed it—now the link comes back with “Our apologies – this page was not found.” However, the page was preserved for posterity on sites such as White Noise Insanity and Lunatic Outpost. I guess we should be grateful that the climate is not (yet) so bad that they thought they could get away with leaving it up, but it’s sure is telling for them to briefly display their true colors… Anyone else out there want to try to convince us that the Tea Party is “not racist“?

  2. Did Pam Geller scrub Oslo evidence from website?
Little Green Footballs (a formerly arch-conservative blog that has been happily inching toward the center) notes through a comparison of before-and-after screenshots from Pam Geller’s Atlas Shrugged website that she had received—and posted—an “E-mail from Norway,” which, although anonymous, almost certainly appears to have been from the Oslo bomber:

Before, I thought about emigrating to Britain, Israel, USA, South Africa, etc. for taxes and politics, but instead (although I believe we are the very last generation on earth before the return of God) I will stay and fight for the right to this country and indeed the entire peninsula, for the God-fearing people, just in case this isn’t the end of the world after all. Doesn’t hurt to have a backup plan.

The message remains on her website, but appears to have been “scrubbed” of such verbiage as:

We are stockpiling and caching weapons, ammunition and equipment. This is going to happen fast.’

A Google cache indicates the offending lines were there as recently as June 30.

Reminds us of Sarah Palin’s cowardly behavior after the Tucson shootings.

    1. Sicko Geller gets sicker
Gothamist reports that after Geller was called out on the “scrubbing,” she put it back in, explaining that “The sentence I edited is not an incitement to anything. It refers to self-defense, but I removed it in the light of recent horrific events in Norway. I thought it insensitive. Nothing more. Everyone has a right to self-defense.”

      Charming, eh?

  3. David Duke on Oslo
Jews should remember that the real fascist hardcore still view them as deadly enemies, and always will. And “leftists” who would blame the Oslo attack on Israel should think about who they are lining up with…
