Cochabamba: Evo agrees to meet with Table 18

    Rafael Quispe, leader of the National Council of Ayllus and Markas of Cullasuyu (CONAMAQ), announced at the end of the World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth (CMPCC), on Earth Day (April 22) in the Bolivian city of Cochabamba, that President Evo Morales had agreed to meet with the dissident "Table 18" and hear its demands. Conference organizers had refused to recognize the dissident working group, which called for the expulsion of all extractive industries from Bolivia.
