As pointed out by the Daily New's Juan Gonzalez, Fernando Mateo, the head of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, is little better than a Republican rent-a-thug. Active in state Republican circles under Pataki he was also the chief coordinator of Mayor Bloomberg's reelection efforts among Hispanics in 2004. Good credentials for a scab.
